Gurugram: Four young people from Gurugram were allegedly defrauded of Rs 20 lakh in cash, two cars, and a motorcycle by a Delhi resident who had promised them jobs as lab assistants and data entry operators at the AIIMS, according to the police.
At the New Colony police station, an FIR has been filed under the appropriate IPC provisions against the defendant, Rajat, who comes from the southwest Delhi area of Kanganheri.
A complaint was made by one of the four young people, who said that Rajat had even given them appointment letters and ID cards that later proved out to be fake.
The complaints state that the teenagers gave Rajat a total cash payment of Rs 20 lakh over several instalments. They handed away two automobiles and a motorcycle when Rajat requested more cash.
FIR has been registered and we are verifying the facts. The accused will be nabbed soon," said SHO Dinkar Yadav fromNew Colony police station.
