Bhopal: 11 feared dead after lightning strikes at various places in MP

As many as 11 persons reportedly died due to lightning in Madhya Pradesh

in last 24 hours.

Gwalior –Chambal division reported eight deaths while Chhatarpur reported three deaths. Revenue department officials said that they are collecting details.

In Sheopur, six friends had gone for picnic. In the mean time, lightning struck. Three of them died while three others were injured. They have been referred to Gwalior. Those who died include Rambharat Adivasi, Dilip Adivasi and Mukesh Adivasi.

Two women Ramkali and Gyandevi died in Bhind district.

In Shivpuri, Akalwati died while Malti was injured. In Gwalior, Natharam Baghel of Ghamandipura village and Betal Singh Gurjar of Bagwai village died after lightning struck.

In Chhatarpur, three died due to lightning. Those who died include Rampyari and her son Mukesh Ahirwar died. Both were working in field. Reda Ahirwar died in Amarwa village under Bamnora police station in Chhatarpur district.
