Barod (Madhya Pradesh): The voting percentage in Barod municipal council under Agar Malwa district stood at 88.40. The voting was entirely peaceful, Out of a total of 10019 voters, 8857 voters, 4640 male voters and 4216 female voters, exercised their franchise to elect a ward councillor. Male and female voting percentage is 91.34 per cent and 85.38 per cent respectively. Along with young voters, old and disabled voters were also very excited about voting. The differently-abled voters went to the polling stations in wheelchairs and cast their votes, while the elderly people reached the polling stations along with their family members and cast their votes. State Election Commission observer Mahendra Singh Bhilala along with deputy district election officer Rajendra Singh Raghuvanshi visited all the polling stations of Barod and inspected the process of voting. During this, Duda polling officer S Kumar and liaisoning officer Diwakar Pandey were also present.
84.81 per cent voting in Hatpipalya
Hatpipliya: Voting for Hatpipalya municipal elections in Dewas district ended in a peaceful manner with 84.81 per cent voting across the 18 polling stations. Out of the total voters of Hatpipalya, 5734 males and 5337 females voted, making it a total of 11072 voters out of a total of 122226 voters. State former education minister Deepak Joshi along with his family also cast his vote.
