RAJKOT: Rain Gods continued to shower bounty on Saurashtra and Kutch on Tuesday with widespread rainfall reported across the region.
Rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and winds disrupted normal life in rural areas in Junagadh and Amreli districts even as farmers cheered the wet spell.

There was knee-deep water near Mavdi overbridge and heavy water logging on 150 foot Ring Road due to under-construction bridges, leaving hundreds of commuters, especially office-goers harried on Tuesday.
Jamnagar received the first significant rainfall of the season on Tuesday evening. On the other hand, rain pored huge relief on Jamnagar residents who got respite from the scorching heat and humidity for the people. Junagadh district received heavy rain on the third consecutive day with the city recording close to 100 mm during the day.
Both Maliya-Hatina and Vanthli talukas of the district also reeled under a wet spell. The water with strong current was flowing in Damodar Kund of Junagadh because of flooding in the Sonrakh river.
In Amreli, Babra taluka was lashed by heavy rain, leaving Chamardi Thebi and Kalubhar rivers in spate.
Most parts of Kutch also received rainfall.
