As soon as she shared the good news with her fans, netizens went into a tizzy and flooded her with congratulatory messages and blessings. Not just fans but Alia's friends and colleagues from the film industry too showered their love on the couple.

Ranbir and Alia had fallen in love with each other on the sets of their upcoming film 'Brahmastra'. The two made their first appearance as a couple at Sonam Kapoor's wedding reception in 2018.

The couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022, at their Bandra apartment with just family and close friends in attendance.

Ranbir, who will be next seen in 'Shamshera', had recently opened up on his future plans with Alia during an event. When a journalist quizzed the actor about how much more work he will do post marriage, he said that he has to make family and do lots of work.

Meanwhile, 'Brahmastra' will be the first film in which Ranbir and Alia will be paired opposite each other. The film is set to hit the silver screens on September 9, 2022.
