Active cases fall below 300 in city

Vadodara: After a week, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the city and district went below 300 on Tuesday. The number came down as 42 new cases were reported but 47 were discharged, leaving 298 active cases.
The new cases were reported from 1,626 tests. The new cases include 41 from the Vadodara MunicipalCorporation (VMC) limits and one from the areas of the district outside city limits. The fresh cases reported in the city include 16 from west zone, 13 from north zone and six from east as well as south zone.
Despite the fall in the number of active cases, the hospitalization on Tuesday increased with 13 people being admittted. Of these, one is on oxygen support and 12 on room air with mild symptoms.
