It’s the combination that fans have been dreaming of! Karan Johar’s popular talk show, Koffee with Karan, has seen Shah Rukh Khan (multiple seasons) and Salman Khan sit on his coveted couch but the two superstars teaming up together for the show hasn’t happened yet. Shah Rukh in fact launched the show with his appearance on the first episode of Koffee with Karan, while Salman came on the show with his dad Salim Khan and later with his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Karan spoke about the logistical challenges of pairing actors together. Karan said, "Many a times, I can’t accommodate actors because of the pairings. Sometimes one actor is very strong but you don’t know who to pair him against."
When asked if there is a combination that’s on his wish list but hasn’t happened yet, Karan added, "There were so many. Everybody would ask for Salman and Shah Rukh to come. I haven't even attempted it because I was like, I will go mad trying to co-ordinate. Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were asked for (by the people) and we managed that. But there were many wishful combinations that people have asked for. Because it is not easy as people think it is. These days, people are more careful and worried about how they are being projected, what they are saying. They know that the show can land them in trouble. It landed me in so much trouble. But sometimes I think I should maybe dial down the controversy and dial up the fun. This is what the 7th season is all about."

Talking about the 7th season of Koffee With Karan, it will premiere tomorrow (July 7) at 7pm on Disney + Hotstar. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are going to be the first pair of guests on the show.
