Mumbai: The Securities and Exchange Board of India has invited the Associate Professor for Finance, Ananth Narayan, of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) to join the Research Advisory Committee from September 1, 2022.
Associate Professor Ananth Narayan is a member of SEBI's Mutual Fund Advisory Committee and has experience in financial markets trading and sales across the country, South Asia, and ASEAN, in foreign exchange, debt capital markets, research, and asset liability management.
In 2019, the Securities and Exchange Board of India formed the RAC. The main agenda was to strengthen the Board's research operations and functions, as well as to strengthen the link between research and policy, making SEBI more relevant. According to the policy, new members are supposed to be brought in on a regular basis in order to form various committees. This time, the RAC will be reconstituted with Professor Narayan Ananth as a member.
