Jasdan royal family member dies

Vadodara: Pramilaraje Shivrajkumar Khachar, a member of the royal family of Jasdan, passed away on Monday. She was 89 years old. Born in 1933, Pramilaraje was the second daughter of Maharani Shantadevi and Maharaja Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad of Baroda state.
She married Shivrajkumar, Darbar Saheb of Jasdan in 1952. The royal Gaekwad family said that she was a creative person, especially in hand embroidery of various types. She was also active in Mahila Samaj in Jasdan, motivating women to take up crafts and helping revive the local craft of beadwork and embroidery. Her cremation was held on Tuesday and the flag at Laxmi Vilas Palace in the city was lowered at half-mast in her honour.
