Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan took a dig at the BCCI’s policy of resting players after every series and said not playing affects individual's form.

The All-India senior selection committee decided to rest several key members of the squad for the ODI series, including regular captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami as well as the injured KL Rahul.

Shikhar Dhawan was named India captain for the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, beginning on July 22 in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The southpaw felt for a player to get back his form, playing more cricket is the answer.

“No one comes back to form while resting…,” Pathan tweeted.

Kohli is one of the few India players who is going through an unprecedented lengthy lean patch.
