Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to play the skipper of Team India women cricket team, Mithali Raj, in the biopic 'Shabaash Mithu'.
The actress recently took to social media to share a video of herself prepping for the role of Mithali Raj. The video traced the journey of how Taapsee got into the skin of the cricketer and perfected even the minute details.
In the video, Taapsee can be seen going through rigorous physical training and practice sessions on the cricket pitch to get hold of the techniques and mannerisms of Mithali.
Among the several professional coaches who guided Taapsee through the film, one of them was even seen lauding her spirit and for shooting continuously for 12 straight hours, while also juggling between workout and cricket practice.
"Blood sweat and lot of bruises! #ShabaashMithu What went into me becoming the one n only @M_Raj03 on screen," Taapsee captioned the video.
'Shabaash Mithu' is set to show Mithali Raj's journey from dreaming about being a cricketer to earning a name for herself in the male-dominated sport.
Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, 'Shabaash Mithu' is set to hit the silver screens on July 15.
