Five booked for cheating retail major of ₹63L

Rajkot: Five people were booked for allegedly cheating an outlet of a retail major of Rs 63 lakh in Moti Khavdi village of Jamnagar.
The complaint was lodged by the outlet’s manager Jomsinh Chavda against suppliers Jaypalsinh Chudasama, Lalit Bharti, Mangilal Bharti, Ramkishore Tiwari and Sachinsinh. The accused used to supply several products including vegetables and pulses.
On checking, the manager found that they had supplied Rs 26.60 lakh worth of products less than the actual order.
The accused also allegedly supplied locally grown sweet potato instead of the contracted American variety worth Rs 36.51 lakh, police said. TNN
