Sardarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Patients here in Sardarpur cannot avail of the facility of an ambulance even though the Sardarpur Community Health Centre has two-ambulance attached to it. One is not in a condition to travel and another has been transferred to Dhar district hospital without the necessary formalities. These two ambulances were donated by Power Grid, Dhulet and Industry minister Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon respectively.

The ambulance donated by the industry minister was equipped with emergency medical facilities. According to information, this ambulance numbered MP 02 AV 7548 was provided one year ago, during the Covid-19 crisis. Five months ago, this new ambulance was transferred to Dhar District Hospital without informing the Patient Welfare Committee. Notably, Dhar has enough ambulances.

The Medical Department informed that the Industry minister summoned BMO Sheela Mujalda and ordered him to call back the ambulance from Dhar as soon as possible. But, no actions have been taken in this direction even in three months.

Similarly, the ambulance provided by Power Grid, Dhulet (MP 02 AV 5374) was never maintained by the health centre administration. As a result, all tyres are in bad shape. Although, the government sends enough funds for repair. Not only this, any patient who utilises an ambulance is charged Rs 1,800 for Dhar and Rs 5,000 for Indore and get a receipt.

Despite the amount received from the government and the ambulance carrier charges, the ambulance is ill-maintained. In this regard, Chief Medical Officer Virendra Singh Raghuvanshi was called many times, but his mobile was switched off.
