Indore: Thunderstorm, rainfall lash city, expected for next 24 hours

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The long wait of citizens came to an end as heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms occurred in the city and surrounding areas on Tuesday morning.

Citizens couldn't see sunshine and it remained dark as the clouds enveloped the city since Tuesday morning.

The winds were blowing at a speed of 8-10 km which also caused power cuts as hairline cracks appeared in the supply lines.

The continuous rainfall also affected the schedule of office goers as many were stuck in the rains.

Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees below normal on Monday while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius, which was at normal.

Winds blew from the west and south-west for the most part of the day. Morning and evening humidities were 90 percent and 80 percent, respectively.

The meteorological department has predicted that the weather will remain cloudy for the next three days and precipitation may continue. After this, moisture incursion will deplete and temperatures will rise.
