Bhopal: Higher education department collects details of writers, poets for content building under New Education Policy

According to circular issued on Tuesday, the Officer on Special Duty Dhirendra Shukla has asked colleges and universities to collect and forward details of poets and writers along with their original works.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has asked principals and registrars of all universities to collect bio-data of writers and poets for content building according to New Education Policy 2020, said official from department.

According to circular issued on Tuesday, the Officer on Special Duty Dhirendra Shukla has asked colleges and universities to collect and forward details of poets and writers along with their original works.

“Details of writers who have done original work in arts, culture, commerce, science and others have been invited along with their books. Their content will be helpful in creating course material and references for the first year students,” Shukla said.

Content creation for first year students of undergraduate courses is underway and according to New Education Policy, innovative ways will be encouraged for teaching. Moreover, local experts have also been given importance in NEP.

Once the details of local experts on subjects are compiled, their services will be used according to requirements at the local level.
