Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have announced roadshows as part of the poll campaigning for the Ratlam Municipal Corporation elections.
According to BJP media in-charge Arun Tripathi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will take part in the roadshow to be organised by BJP on July 9 in favour of BJP’s mayoral candidate Prahalad Patel and corporator candidates. The roadshow of CM Chouhan will begin at 11 am on July 9 and CM will remain in the city for about five hours. Preparations for the road show have begun, informed Tripathi.
Meanwhile, city Congress president Mahendra Kataria in a press release issued today informed that former Chief Minister Kamal Nath will take part in a roadshow in the city on July 11 to be organised in support of Congress mayoral candidate Mayank Jat and corporator candidates. Kamal Nath will also address a party worker's sammelan and will also talk to the intellectuals of the city on the same day.
The roadshow will begin after he addresses party workers' meeting, informed Kataria.
Meanwhile, the first phase of polling of civic bodies' elections in the district will be held on July 6 when polling will take place for Nagar Parishad Alot and Nagar Parishad Taal.
Preparations for the first phase are complete and polling material has been distributed to polling parties who have left for their respective polling booths. Polling will take place for 15 wards each of Alot and Tal Nagar Parishad. For Alot Nagar Parishad elections,25 polling booths have been set up where 18042 voters including 8888 female voters will exercise their franchise.
Similarly, for Nagar Parishad Tal civic body elections a total of15 polling booths have been set up where 11784 voters including 5851 female voters will exercise their franchise.
