PATNA: Most of the people who visited CM
Nitish Kumar at his weekly ‘janata darbar’ programme on Monday had complaints against dominant persons of their respective areas for forcefully grabbing their plots of land. Some of them also complained against criminals intimidating to eliminate their families. The CM directed the officials concerned to take prompt action.
A person from Gopalganj said some dominant persons had illegally occupied his land near he had a plot of land near the bus stand of the town. When he protested, they threatened to kill him.
A retired Army man from Muzaffarpur told the CM that some antisocial elements had occupied the his land since 2013. They were also not allowing him to go to another piece of land purchased by him. They also threaten him of dire consequences.
A man from Khagaria said some dominant persons of his area had illegally occupied his ancestral land.
When he took administrative help, they were sent to jail. But once released on bail, they were hatching conspiracy against him. Another man from Sheikhpura complained about wrong mutation of his land.
A person from Bhojpur alleged that a woman circle officer had been frequently threatening to cancel his mutation of land if he did not pay her a bribe. Another one from Saran complained that no payment was made in lieu of his acquired land.
Another person from Muzaffarpur said his son was murdered in front of his house in 2018. But he was yet to get justice. The CM asked the DGP to take appropriate action in the case.
The CM heard the grievances of altogether 89 persons. Revenue and land reforms minister Ram Surat Kumar, prohibition, excise and registration minister Sunil Kumar and mines and geology minister Janak Ram were present on the occasion.
