Kahaan Chugh bags best karate player trophy at state tournament

Kahaan Chugh, a student of Grade 2 of Victorious Kids Educares, was awarded the 'Best Karate Player' trophy, in a State Karate tournament held recently. He also secured a silver medal, winning three rounds in the age group of 7 to 8 years of age, a statement issued by the school said.
PUNE: Kahaan Chugh, a student of Grade 2 of Victorious Kids Educares, was awarded the 'Best Karate Player' trophy, in a State Karate tournament held recently. He also secured a silver medal, winning three rounds in the age group of 7 to 8 years of age, a statement issued by the school said.

Kahaan participated in this tournament through his sports academy, Shirke Sports Academy, and was led by his coach - Gauri Bhaleghare. More than 400 participants from all over Maharashtra were judged for their performance in Kata (Karate forms) and Kumite (fight bouts). Kahaan competed in the 7 to 8 age category and fought four bouts (all

elimination rounds). He won three rounds, successfully securing his silver medal.

Post the tournament completion, based on the unanimous referee voting, Kahaan was chosen to be the winner and awarded Best Karate Player trophy in his category.
