Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Vikram University has succeeded in reaching students at their door under the first phase of “Vishwavidyalay Chalo Abhiyan” which concluded on Monday benefitting more than 1000 students and covering more than 15 schools. Faculties and staff members were indulged in sticking pamphlets containing course-related information around the city.
For the last 15 days, Vikram University was conducting the “Vishwavidhyalay Chalo Abhiyan” which is inspired from state government’s “College Chalo Abhiyan”. The main aim of the campaign was to make students aware about different courses being run by the university and to benefit maximum number of students with this information. Teachers of the university approached more than 15 schools and colleges and have interacted with students providing information about new courses introduced by the university and about different career options available to students after passing standard 12.
Under this campaign, teachers of the university conducted career counselling sessions at different schools. In this context, Dr Anjali Upadhyay and Dr Shivi Bhasin conducted a counselling session at Gyan Sagar Academy, Dewas Road on Monday where they explained about various courses being run by the university. The students were also explained about different career options available to them with different streams. Teachers from various departments of the university including Dr Arvind Shukla, Dr Garima Sharma, Dr Kanchan Thool, Dr Mohit Prajapati, Dr Shivam Sharma and Dr Sagar Jaiswal were also engaged in conducting these sessions.
