Jharkhand: Man held for killing wife

RANCHI: One Nicholas Toppo was arrested for murdering his estranged wife, police said on Saturday. Rural SP Naushad Alam said that Toppo was miffed after a court ordererd him to pay a monthly maintenance of Rs 5,000 to his wife Injren Toppo, which prompted the murder.
The woman’s naked body was put in a sack and thrown into a river in Dombatoli under Chanho police station area. Her body was found on June 19 and a case was registered on the same day.
