Mumbai: Metro 2A & 7 crosses 25 lakh ridership in three months

Currently, on the 20 km stretch (Phase 1), there are 18 stations between Dhanukarwadi and Aarey, which is open to the public for use

The partially opened Mumbai Metro Line 2A and 7, between Aarey and Dhanukarwadi, achieved a significant milestone. According to the Maha Mumbai Metro operation corporation Ltd (MMOCCL), it marked 25 lakh ridership further achieving a 98.7 per cent success rate in trips run.

"The impressive ridership has been recorded in just three months after being inaugurated on 2nd April 2022," said MMMOCL.

Meanwhile, the MMRDA is busy finishing the remaining stretch of this Metro Line 2A&7 that is expected to be open to the public by this year itself. These two metro lines will run parallel on the east and west side of the Western Express Highway and once completely ready, the route will comprise of 35-km of stretch. Commuters will be able to travel between Dahisar and Andheri.

There are total 30 stations on Metro Line 2A&7.
