Navi Mumbai: For the fourth consecutive day, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) saw a drop in new cases of Covid.
This led to a drop in the number of active cases under the civic jurisdiction. At present, the number of active cases stands at 1166.
On July 2, the civic body saw a total of 159 new cases of Covid while 454 patients got discharged.
Last month, around 7000 new cases of Covid were reported. At the beginning of May, the number of active cases was around 50.
At present, 887 people are in home isolation and 9 patients are getting treatment at Covid care centre at Cidco Exhibition centre in Vashi.
During June, two Covid deaths were reported taking the total number of deaths 2051 due to Covid.
