GUWAHATI: A Tada court here on Thursday acquitted founder chairman of now-disbanded National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB), Ranjan Daimary and another, in a massacre case of 1992 for want of evidence.
Daimary is currently a serving life term for the serial blasts in the state in 2008 while the other person, one Dharmakanta Boro, is out on bail.
“Both Daimary and Boro have been acquitted as no evidence could be presented against him,” Daimary’s counsel Manas Sarania said.
This case in which Daimary and Boro have been acquitted pertains to the killing of six persons of a family in Udalguri district in 1992.
