Vadodara: Many trees uprooted

VADODARA: The city received three inches of rain within a few hours on Thursday night. While some of the areas including Old City streets got waterlogged, the situation normalized by Friday morning. Weather officials had predicted more rains on Friday and it poured heavily in the afternoon. Fire brigade officials said that many trees too fell in different areas due to the strong winds that accompanied the downpour but no one suffered any injury. An ambulance got damaged as it was parked under a tree that fell down on Friday afternoon. The authorities are on alert as more rain may increase water level in Vishwamitri.
