Taron Egerton said he loved working with Ray Liotta in one of the actor's final TV roles.
Liotta died in his sleep in May in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming a movie called Dangerous Waters.
The Golden Globe winner stars alongside the late actor in the Apple TV+ limited series Black Bird. In the psychological thriller Black Bird, Liotta plays James 'Big Jim' Keene, a decorated policeman whose son Jimmy Keene (Egerton) finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Rocketman actor told guest host Chelsea Handler what it was like working with Liotta.
"He was something of a hero to me, and when I read this script, it's got a very touching and really dysfunctional relationship at the heart of it, and it's the relationship between my character and his father," explained Egerton.
The 32-year-old said it was so exciting when 'Ray agreed to do it; he read the script and agreed within under 24 hours; he was so excited about it.'
Egerton recalled the first day he met Liotta on set and their shared embrace.
"We had a few weeks of filming together, and it was a really amazing experience for me; he just brought this presence, this reality in contrast with the kind of toughness with him. He brought this incredible tenderness and love. And I'm really proud of the relationship we built," said Egerton.
