Delhi University to conduct practical exams, viva voce for undergraduates offline

This year, Delhi University has decided to organize practical examinations and viva voce this year. DU has also carried out strict instructions to all the colleges in its fold to follow Covid guidelines properly. While the internal exams of DU will have 25% weightage, 75% weightage will be allotted to the semester examination.

On February 17, DU re-opened its gates for its students to participate in offline classes after almost two years.
DU’s Examination Branch released a notification which made it clear that internal assessments, projects, practicals, oral examinations, viva voce, fieldwork, internships and apprenticeships will be conducted in offline mode. The notification also conveyed that evaluations and internships pertaining to the dissertations will be carried out in the physical mode.

The official notification also emphasised that even though the practical exams will be conducted in the offline mode, the Covid guidelines should be adhered to strictly. India, just like the rest of the world, is still grappling with the Covid-19 crisis. While schools, colleges and universities have reopened, authorities are taking measures to ensure safety students, teachers and non-teaching staff.

On February 17, DU re-opened its gates for its students to participate in offline classes after almost two years. Since then, the university has been making efforts to help students get themselves adjusted to the offline mode of education. Apart from releasing its academic calendar, the university has also shared plans for some of the cultural events it plans to organize this year.
