Due to heavy rains in the city on Thursday mid-night, a landslide took place near an under-construction building at Pedder road on Friday. The landslide has caused tress on the hill to come sliding down along with the rubble.
It also led to a crack on the footpath near the stretch.
The surrounding area of Sneh Sadan and Prabhu Kunj has also been affected because of the landslide.
However, no casualties have been reported in the incident.
BMC have called a structural consultant and a geologist to the site to examine the situation of the location, said a civic official.
A similar incident of landslide in the area was reported in 2011.
