Aravindan Award for Sanu Varghese

Thiruvananthapuram: Sanu John Varghese has been selected for the 30th Aravindan Award for the Best Debutant Filmmaker of 2021 for his film ‘Aarkariyam’.
The jury comprising Shyamprasad, Mohan Kumar, Vijayakrishnan and V K Narayanan has noted that his film navigates the theme of inner burden and mistaken guilt of a middle class family with layered delicacy.
The award carries cash prize of Rs 25,000, memento and a citation. tnn
