Goa: 184 new Covid cases, recovery rate at 98%

PANAJI: The uptrend of Covid-19 continued for yet another day. with state reporting 184 cases and 149 recoveries, taking the count of active caseload beyond the 1,000-mark.
The single-day case positivity rate was at 13.7%, a little less than recorded on Wednesday, while the recovery rate was at 98%.
A single patient was hospitalised, while all others were home isolated, and no mortalities were recorded over the 24 hours.
A health official said they suspect that people in home isolation do not follow the protocol as strictly as they are required to and some may even step out of their isolation as they do not look sick enough.
“Lethargy has set in after being in the pandemic for two years. We do our duty of informing people to take precautions but monitoring is not easy,” he said.
During this week, the state registered five Covid-related deaths.
