Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): A programme on women empowerment "Mahila Bane Mahimashali" was organised in Dewas district. A large number of females participated in the programme. Sadhvi Rajaratna Shriji was present as the chief guest. Addressing the event she said that women who are socially, economically, and mentally stable can overcome any obstacle in life. When a woman becomes capable it automatically makes her family progress. Spokesperson Vijay Jain informed that, during the programme, various dance dramas were performed to portray the lives of women in various stages from being an infant to becoming a grandmother. The programme was conducted by Shweta Jain.
Dewas: Collector, SP inspect polling booths
The second phase of polling of the three-tier panchayat elections was held in Dewas, Tonkkhurd and Sonkachh development blocks. Voting was conducted for eight Zilla Panchayat members, 65 Janpad Panchayat members, 221 Sarpanch, and 3615 Panchs. Collector Chandramouli Shukla and SP Dr Shivdayal Singh inspected the arrangements at various polling booths. CEO, District Panchayat Parkash Singh Chouhan, additional collector Mahendra Singh Kavache, Municipal Commissioner Vishal Singh Chouhan, and others also monitored the booths. The results will be announced on July 14.
