Gujarat: Vadodara and district reports 46 new Covid-19 cases

VADODARA: Forty-six new Covid-19 cases were reported in the city and district from 2,484 tests conducted during the 24 hours ending on Friday evening. Against this, 40 persons were discharged on the day.
The new cases include 42 from Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) area and four outside the city limits. In the city, the highest number of cases were reported from the west zone of VMC where 24 new cases came to light. This was followed by the north zone where eight tested positive, six new cases were reported from the south zone and four from the east zone.
With the number of discharged patients remaining lower than the new cases, the number of active cases continued to rise and reached 318. The active cases include six persons admitted to hospitals. The indoor patients include two needing oxygen support.
