DUMKA: Chief secretary Sukhdev Singh, DGP Neeraj Sinha and other government officials on Thursday visited Deoghar to review the ongoing preparations for PM Narendra Modi’s likely visit to this place on July 12 to inaugurate the newly constructed airport and AIIMS. Sanjeev Kumar, and secretary of the union civil aviation ministry, Rajiv Bansal, were also present.
Officials took stock of the security arrangements to be made in and around the venues where Modi is scheduled to visit and discussed security related issues at length with the local authorities. Officials also visited Deoghar College ground where a public meeting of the prime minister will be held by BJP.
The Director General of the Civil Aviation has granted aerodrome licence to the newly built Deoghar airport on June 29.
