Rajkot: Man stabbed to death by paramour’s husband

RAJKOT: A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death by the husband of his lover on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Akhatar Payak.
Payak’s grandmother Rasida Jethva lodged a complaint with Gandhigram police. The complaint alleged that Hussain Dalvani and his aide killed Payak.
According to police, Payak had an affair with Nancy, a mother of two, who resides in the same neighbourhood. Payak had telephoned Nancy and asked her to meet him. They were sitting near Raiyadhar police chowki when Nancy’s husband Dalvani saw them together and became furious.
Rasida said in her police complaint that Nancy came to her on Tuesday night and informed her that Dalvani and another person had stabbed Payak a multiple times. Payak was rushed to Civil Hospital where he died within minutes of admission.
According to police, Dalvani had heated arguments with Payak over his affair with Nancy and later he stabbed Payak 11 times.
According to Rasida, Nancy is a native of Goa and she married Dalvani a few years back. Payak had developed an affair with her in the past and both Dalvani and Payak had arguments over the issue. The matter was settled after some people had intervened. However, the relation between Payak and Nancy had resumed recently.
