Indore: Inspector suspended for drinking on duty

He has been suspended for showing negligence in election work. Orders in this regard have been issued by Collector Singh.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Collector and district election officer Manish Singh has suspended inspector Harish Jeenwal, posted in the office of Assistant Registrar Firms and Societies in the city with immediate effect.

He has been suspended for showing negligence in election work. Orders in this regard have been issued by Collector Singh.

Inspector Harish Jeenwal was appointed as the presiding officer at polling station number 203 in primary school building Kali Billaud of Depalpur tehsil for panchayat election. It was reported by the returning officer of Depalpur tehsil that during the inspection of polling booth by a joint team of officers, inspector Harish Jeenwal was found drinking alcohol in the polling booth. The medical report was also sent along with the report.

Collector Singh said inspector Jeenwal’s act is a sign of very serious negligence. In view of this, he has been suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be district election office
