BHUBANESWAR: After witnessing an increase in the number of newly detected Covid-19 positive cases in the city, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday issued an advisory for strict adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour.
In its order, the civic body asked the city residents and floating population to wear masks appropriately while moving out and while in public places. All citizens should maintain social distancing of two meters among themselves at all times while in public places.
All malls/shop/store owners should ensure social distancing about two meters within their premises. People should maintain hand hygiene frequently and observe appropriate coughing/sneezing etiquettes. Residents of the city should refrain from spitting in public places.
The managers/head/CEOs of offices should ensure that their employees follow Covid appropriate behaviour in their offices. “Any violations in these aspects will attract penal provisions of the Odisha Covid-19 regulations and amendments made from time to time,” said the official order of the civic body.
