MP: Five-year-old falls into uncovered borewell in Chhatarpur, rescue on

A five-year-old boy fell into an uncovered borewell in Narayanpura area in Chhatarpur area on Wednesday.

The incident took place at around 2pm under limits of Orchha police station between Narayanpuar and Pathapur villages. Soon after the locals informed administrative officers and the rescue team was awaited till reports last came in.

Dipendra, 5, fell into the borewell hole while playing, the locals said.

As rescuers were on way to reach the village, the locals started efforts on their own and started making a boundary of clay around the hole so that the rainwater doesn’t reach the hole. The locals claimed that rescuers could take around an hour to reach the site.

Local officers were trying to cordon off the area till expert team reached the spot.

Dipendra Yadav, son of Akhilesh fell inside the borewell hole while playing at his farmhouse, the police said.

The incident comes close on the heels of an ten –year-old deaf and mute boy Rahul falling inside a similar borewell hole in Raipur in Chhattisgarh and was finally saved after a grueling 110-hour long rescue operation.
