Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Monday at 09:59AM

Parag Milk(up 8.56%), Future Consumer(up 5.00%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 4.68%), Dangee Dums(up 2.58%), Vadilal Industries(up 2.52%), Nakoda Group(up 2.10%), Jyothy Labs(up 2.02%), Umang Dairies(up 1.91%), DFM Foods(up 1.81%) and Emami(up 1.76%) were among the top gainers.

Prataap Snacks(down 0.66%), Heritage Foods(down 0.49%), Dodla Dairy(down 0.11%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.01%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 182.4 points up at 15881.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 585.81 points at 53313.79 at around 09:59AM.

Hindalco Industries(up 3.88%), Tech Mahindra(up 3.69%), HCL Technologies(up 3.38%), JSW Steel(up 3.16%), Infosys(up 2.47%), Grasim Industries(up 2.31%), Tata Steel(up 2.3%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.26%), Wipro(up 2.16%) and IndusInd Bank(up 2.11%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Enterprises(down 0.53%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.23%) were trading in the red.
