Bollywood actor Sonu Sood on Monday clarified the air around him campaigning for the Congress in the local elections in Madhya Pradesh.
Several reports have been doing the rounds for the past couple of days that the Congress party is set to hold a road show in Indore with Sonu Sood as the star campaigner for them.
However, the actor took to his official Twitter handle on Monday, and rubbished the rumours. "As per some reports I am coming to Indore for some road show.. it’s not true," he wrote.
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood was propelled to the limelight when he came up as a messiah for the migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns. The actor went out of his way to ensure the workers reach their homes safely, and even came to the rescue of people who had lost their jobs, needed financial help, required hospital beds or oxygen, among other things.
The actor's humanitarian work earned him praise from all corners of the country, and people can even be seen queueing up outside his residence in Mumbai every day to seek help.
On the film front, the actor was recently seen essaying a key role in Akshay Kumar's historical drama 'Samrat Prithviraj'.
