Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Cyber crime police have issued an advisory alerting people against fraudsters sending links on the mobile phones for processing courier service charges, said the officials on Monday.
The police informed that the crooks were targeting the people looking for courier company contact numbers on the internet. On being contacted, the frauds on pretext of providing courier service, would send links on mobile numbers to process payment. As soon as the person clicks on the sent link, the fraudsters would get access to all their bank details and using the same they would then withdraw the money from the bank accounts.
The police have warned people against clicking any link sent by unauthorised numbers. It has also advised against giving any extra money as courier delivery charge. Any QR code sent by an unknown person should not be scanned.
