Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): The Gwalior Railway Station administration was put on its toes after receiving a phone call from an unknown miscreant claiming a bomb has been planted on platform number one.

The RPF and GRP police team, along with top officials reached the spot. According to the information received, the police have not found any suspicious substance from platform number 1.

"On Monday morning at around 11 am, we received the call on Dial 100. The platform was hurriedly evacuated, along with the bomb disposal squad and dog squad. However, police officers are talking about conducting searches on other platforms as well. We are also tracing the call and the person concerned," said the police.

The bomb hoax did not hit the rail traffic, North Central Railways' Jhansi division public relations officer Manoj Kumar Singh said.

Trains from platform no. 1 were diverted to platforms 2 and 3 for some time when the search was being conducted, he said.
