India 10-year bond yield jumped 0.38 per cent to 6.03 after trading in 6.01 - 6.04 range.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Monday.

Shares of Granules India(up 4.44 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(up 3.06 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 2.55 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.34 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories(up 0.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Biocon(down 2.14 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 1.91 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 1.0 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 0.88 per cent) and Abbott India(down 0.32 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.35 per cent up at 12221.55.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 132.8 points at 15832.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 433.3 points at 53161.28.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 ended in the green, while 10 closed in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., Vodafone Idea, , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Wendt India, , , Voltamp Trans and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap, , Fidel Softech Ltd., and Vaxtex Cotfab hit their fresh 52-week lows.
