Heavy rain in Ulhasnagar causes waterlogging in many parts

ULHASNAGAR: Waterlogging at several places in Ulhasnagar after rain lashed the area for a few hours on Friday.
The locals complained about waterlogging and water entering shops due to not properly cleaning of nullahs and drainage lines in the posh Gol Maidan area and Dusshera Maidan area in Ulhasnagar.
Dinesh Mirchandani, a local resident from Ulhasnagar said, "Due to waterlogging people facing difficult to walk on road in these area while vehicles owners were also facing difficult to drive their vehicles."
Mirchandani further said, "Today situation was worst due to few hours rains and taking cognisance of same Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation authority should properly clean drainage lines or else if rain continues throughout day than situation can be worst."
Similarly, due to rain waterlogging again reported in Shahad area in Kalyan where a school bus was stuck in water and locals shifted students from bus to safe place.
