Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.27%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.27 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.2 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.15 per cent) and DLF(up 0.77 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.85 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.16 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.15 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.26 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.27 per cent up at 383.2.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 142.6 points at 15699.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 462.26 points at 52727.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, , , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Rolex Rings, , , Globesecure Technologies Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Quadpro ITeS Ltd., Star Health, Vaxtex Cotfab, Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
