Two accused part of national level gang held for ATM theft in Kalyan

The police suspect five main accused who is still on run are involved in several ATM theft cases across country.
KALYAN: The Kolsewadi police in Kalyan probing ATM machine heist case have unearthed national level gang by arresting two members of gang from Mumbai and searching for remaining five more accused.
The police said arrested two accused Rais Khan and Umesh Prajapati hails from Mumbai while remaining five accused that includes Jahid Khan, Hamid Ashraf and three unidentified are residents of Delhi and Hariyana.
The police have found arrested two accused along with remaining gang members in last four months have committed three ATM thefts across Kalyan, Navi Mumbai and Mira Bhayender area.
The police suspect five main accused who is still on run are involved in several ATM theft cases across country.
The accused on June 19 using gas cutter cut two ATM machines at ATM centre of Bank of India in Mahsoba chowck area in Kalyan east and stolen cash of over Rs 27 lakh.
The police have found five main accused from Delhi and Hariyana had met Mumbai based both accused through social media and on same they made plan of theft at ATM.
The investigator said main accused would used to contact both accused through internet calls to avoid being get caught.
Umesh Mane Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kalyan region said, "Main five accused would used to travel by flight from Delhi to Mumbai and after committing burglary taking help of local two arrested Rais and Umesh would used to escape again to Delhi from fligh taking stolen cash".
