Kerala records close to 4,000 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

KOCHI: Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Kerala with the state recording 3,981 new cases on Thursday after 22,896 tests were conducted. As many as 11 pandemic-related fatalities were registered, of which four were backlog deaths. The state's TPR stands at 17.39.%.
The state had reported 3,890 new cases after 22,927 tests were conducted on Wednesday while the TPR was at 16.97 %.
Ernakulam district continues to report the maximum number of Covid cases in the state. The district reported 970 new infections followed by Thiruvananthapuram with 880 cases and Kottayam (438 cases).
The least number of cases were reported from Kasaragod district (33) while Wayanad recorded 36 cases..
