50% jump: Pune Metropolitan Region records 641 new Covid cases on Thursday

PUNE: The Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) recorded 641 new Covid cases on Thursday, a 50% jump over Wednesday's number (427). There were zero deaths.
Hospitalisations also went up, from 88 on Wednesday to 95 on Thursday. Another 2,646 patients are in home isolation.
Most of Thursday's Covid cases were from the PMC areas (360). Pimpri Chinchwad recorded 197 cases. The rural areas of the region added 78 new cases.
