KALABURAGI: The Kalaburagi bench of high court on Wednesday granted bail to Suresh Kagegaum, one of the accused in PSI exam scam.
The bench also rejected the bail application of Rajesh Hagaragi, president of Jnana Jyothi English-Medium Schoool.
Kategaum was facing the charge of helping Divya Hagaragi of Jnana Jyothi English-Medium Schoool hide herself in Pune. While arresting Divya, CID police had also arrested Kategaum and filed the charge of helping the accused go underground.
The bench of justice MG Uma granted bail to Kategaum after hearing arguments from both sides on Wednesday. But the bench rejected the bail application of Rajesh Hagaragi as public prosecutor Prakash Eli objected to the same, saying he (Rajesh) is the president of the school where the written test was held.
Recently, both of them had applied for bail at the district court. After their plea rejected, they filed the application at the high court.
