Lira has given fans an update on her health, three months after she suffered a stroke.

"Yesterday marked 3 months since I had a stroke. I've made such awesome progress- I'm proud of myself and I give thanks to God. Your prayers have been massively appreciated," the South African songbird wrote alongside a video on Instagram.

Lira added, "I can talk now, although I need a little patience. I can read and I can write. So much love for me, makes me emotional. I am doing so well!"

Lira suffered a stroke while in Germany for a performance, a statement revealed in April. At the time, her team said that her ability to communicate, particularly her speech, had been impacted and that she was undergoing treatment.

The 43-year-old's latest health update comes after she checked in with her fans and followers earlier this month after receiving a SAMA28 nomination.
