Jaipur: Looters change hairstyle to dodge cops, held

JAIPUR: Two men shed their long hair to dodge cops after they shot at and robbed a courier boy in Vidhyadhar Nagar.
DCP (North) Paris Deshmukh said police cracked the case within 48 hours. Vidhyadhar Nagar police listed the two accused as Suraj Sen (20) and his uncle Chuttan Sen (26).
“The incident took place near Cross Road at 11.45 am on Monday. The two suspects fired at a courier boy before fleeing with his bag,” Deshmukh said.
Police teams then fanned out in different directions and zeroed in on two suspects. “A team had looked through over a dozen CCTVs in the city and especially around the crime secne,” said the official.
The police teams found that one of the accused had worked in a salon. “The accused assumed that changing hairstyle might allow him to give us a slip. But we had matched his description and arrested in 48 hours,” said Deshmukh.
