Ahmedabad: Final warning given to 13 highrises for fire NOC

AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) issued final orders to nine residential highrises and four commercial highrises on Wednesday, warning them that their water and electricity connections would be snapped if they failed to install fire safety equipment within their premises. Till Tuesday, AFES had issued final orders for disconnection to 821 blocks within residential societies and commercial complexes.
"The number of societies approaching us for fire NOC renewals have increased to 50 applications a day after the final orders were issued by the AMC," claims a senior AMC official.
